Stop The ACLU » Blog Archive » CAIR Seeks Apology For Radio Host Exercizing Free Speech
Why do these groups think that everybodys has to either agree with them or appologize to them? Let me put it to you this way, if you are not fighting to stop the forces at work trying to take your rights away, you are not worthy to call yourself an American. If you are aligned with a group that seeks to destroy what freedoms we have and demand appologies for what someone else says or does that might offend you, then you can pack your bags and go someplace else. For 20 years I served in the Forces that defend your right to live as you wish, but YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEMAND AN APPOLOGY FROM ME IF I HAVE OFFENDED YOU. You see, I don’t care. If you are offended by me, then go somewhere else. If you offend me, SO WHAT! I don’t have to listen to you and I will not.
CAIR, you can add me to your list. I support Bill Handel. Oh, and somebody tell the ACLU that there services are no longer needed.
Wow, I am so glad we got that one in the bag. SIT had a three day swim meet here this weekend and he did real good. He scored 75 points to win for his age group. His closest competitor came in with 34 points. I’ve been telling him that this meet was his to lose for a year. He also broke at least 5 meet records. Next weekend, we travel to his favorite pool for a meet. He should do well there.
Well, I guess it is time for the Nuclear Option. Senator, the only reason that you want to filibuster this nominee is because you are suffering from BDS. It is time you left the Senate and take the murdering drunk with you.
Republicans, it is time to arm the nukes and shut this filibuster down. Judge Alito deserves that up or down vote, so make it happen.
Ok class, let me ask you this question: Who is the United States Senate supposed to represent? Nope, wrong. The Senate does not represent the people. The Senators from each state are to represent the STATE that sent them. At least until the 17th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified. While it changed how Senators were elected, it did not change whose interests they represented. Since the House of Representative is based on population, they represent the people, but the Senate is comprised of two Senators for each state, regardless of population.
Now, Sarge, why this topic?
Well, while I was taking CINCHOUSE to one of the local markets, I heard on the radio, that the Utah Legilature has introduced a bill to change how Senators are selected in that state. Amazingly, they are wanting to go back to the way it was done before the 17th Amendment. The DJ was grousing about the people not having a voice in their representation. Well, they still have their reps in the House and that is their representation. Maybe it is time to repeal the 17th Amendment and acknowledge that the framers knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they wrote Aritlce 1, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States.
Where in the world do people get the idea that the 1st Amendment protects their right to be a loud, foul mouthed SOB? I am a moderator at a cadet forum, which shall remain nameless for now, and I was accused of violating an individuals 1st Amendment rights. As I pointed out to the lad, the 1st Amendment only applies to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and not to a private entity. As the site is owned by another person, he sets the rules, I just enforce them. I wish that people would actually read what the Constitution actully says before they go shooting off at the mouth. As wise man once said, “It is better to keep quite and appear the fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.” You know, I can live with that, can you?
Well, Sarge-In-Training and I got the wirelss set-up, secured and as of now, I am sitting in my recliner watching the big TV. Now, must convince CINCHOUSE that Sarge needs a new notebook that is worthy of his stature in the grand sceme of things. It is kind of cool this PM, so a test drive from the screen room will have to wait for a few days.
Nate, you were so right, this is nice. Still no cats.
Well, took Nate‘s advice. Went and got a wireless router today. Because of the size and construction of the command post, will need to keep existing network and add the wireless capability to it. I think that I can get this done, even with Sarge-In-Training’s help. I will definetely have to give it a whirl when it is done. More to come.
Hey, Nate, have you ever tried herding cats? We have a saying on deck at swim meets that getting the 8 and under swimmers where they need to be at the right time is a lot like herding cats, at the middle school meets, we add the caveat that the cats are wet. Just curious.
Somebody leave a comment and let Sarge know how the reception is out there.
There is a breed of man, the ones that I have known have been the quiet type. A respected expert in his field.
By now, everyone has heard of Marine Gunnery Sergeant Burghardt. Here is a man that in spite of his injuries, got up and walked away from the scene. His reaction, while not typical in polite company, shows the resolve of a man who will not be beat. The picture of him “keeping up international relations” will have men fighting to buy him a beer anywhere he goes.
Gunny, this one’s for you
Nate from Wasted Electrons tells me I need to go wireless at the Command Post. That is next on my home network list of things to do. CINCHOUSE has even mentioned it. Her computer was recently moved and I had to run a cable for it. Luckily for me, we already had a hole in the wall just the right size that I was able to feed the CAT5 through. With Sarge-In-Training becoming more computer savy and owning a new notebook, and Sarge considering getting a new one, maybe it is time. Now, I just need to find a wireless system that will cover the 3000 sq/ft of the Command Post so that I can sit in the Florida room and surf. Sorry Nate, no cats allowed.
