13 September 2006

Courtesy of GOC, thanks Denny.  I have to agree, the American Military man/woman understands this more than anyone else ever will.  This is a classic game and I think that I actually understand the rules, but then again, I could be wrong.

Time to fight the good fight

12 September 2006

By my reckoning, there are only 55 days to the mid-term elections this year and there a number of things that you need to consider before you go to the polls to exercise your civic duty.  Here are just a few: Securing of our borders, tax reform, GWOT (yes, it is a global war).  Think about these things and check the voting records of your representatives in Congress and the Senate and then make sure to read the Constitution of the United States and see how there voting records stack up against it.  If they are upholding and representing your interests then by all means re-hire them.  If they are not representing you, then fire them and hire someone else to do the job.

ArrMatey, over at Stop The ACLU, provides more instruction on the Constitution of the United States.  Maybe this is the cure for the 9th Circus, hmmm

Are you a TRUE American?

2 September 2006

It is time to change from REDNECK humor to TRUE AMERICAN Humor!
Only I don’t see it as Humor, but the correct way to LIVE YOUR LIFE!

If you feel the same, pass this on to your True American friends.
Ya’ll know who ya’ are…

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase,
“One nation, under God.”

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You’ve never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments
posted in public places

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You still say “Christmas” instead of “Winter Festival.”

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You bow your head when someone prays.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You stand and place your hand over your heart when
they play the National Anthem.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You treat VietNam vets with great respect, and always have.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You’ve never burned an American flag.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You know what you believe and you aren’t afraid to say so,
no matter who is listening.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You’d give your last dollar to a friend.

If you got this email from me, it is because I believe that you, like me,
have just enough TRUE AMERICAN in you to have the same beliefs as those talked about in this email.

God Bless the USA!

Labor Day Weekend

1 September 2006

Here we are, at the end of the 101 Critical Days of Summer.  I thought about waiting until Monday to post this, but decided that with the plans that CINCHOUSE has made, there might not be much time.  Just noticed that between the time I left the house for an errand this morning and the time I returned to the command post that the price of gasoline had dropped 3 cents.

In case you haven’t heard it yet, there will be a great shout of pain from those of school age.  That’s right, it is BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!  Oh, there will be a great rejoicing from Mom’s and Dad’s as well.  Since SIT has been in school for a month already, this happened a bit ago here.  Please folks, when you are out and about, pay attention to your surroundings and watch out for the kids.  Not all have been taught to look both ways before running out into the street.  Be especially wary when around our institutions of learning.
