SCOTUS and the 2nd Amendment

28 June 2008

As I am sure many of you have already heard/read, the SCOTUS has finally decided that We the People can keep and bear arms and that the People referred to in the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States are INDIVIDUALS.  Too bad that Souter, Ginsburg, Stevens, and Breyer don’t know the meaning of People.  Supposedly Ted Nugent, yes, that Ted Nugent, wrote a letter and if he did, this would be the second time that a letter of this nature has been attributed to him.  You can read the text over at Kim’s by following the link below.

Go forth, read and be amused.  Then remember that come November, that a vote for Barack Hussein Obama is a vote for a SCOTUS with more like the aforementioned “Justices.”  As many have stated, this should have been a slam-dunk decision 9-0 for your rights.  Don’t come back a year from now and say we didn’t tell you so.

Don Imus in hot water for racial comments

23 June 2008

I normally tend to steer away from stories like this one, but this is so ridiculous that it is almost funny.  The only thing that I can surmise from this story is that Imus doesn’t follow football or more specifically, the Dallas Cowboys.  Go, read.

Don Imus in hot water for racial comments – Media- msnbc.com

And, while the Race Baiting Poverty Pimp Al $harpton sees Imus as racist, I saw nothing racist in Imus’ comments.  He simply asked a question, and when the answer was given, stated, “There you go. Now we know.”

If you want to “solve” the race problem in this country, here is what you do.  First, strip Je$$ie Jack$on and Al $harpton of the title “Reverend.”  The same with the likes of Jerimiah Wright.  These three self-proclaimed men of G-d, have done more to hurt race relations than any person alive today.

Dear District 20, State of Florida

22 June 2008

It seems that your duly elected representative to the United States House of Representatives is the ONLY representative from the state of Florida to vote against protecting those telecommunications companies that do the right thing and comply with requests to assist our intelligence agencies tracking down terrorists planning to do us harm.   You may want to rethink you representation come November.  This is about National Security and not about spying on US Citizens as the MSM would have you believe.  go forth and see for yourself.

Bookworm Room » Say it loud, say it proud: I am a racist! *UPDATED*

I guess I am a racist then because there is no way on this earth that I will ever vote for Barrack Hussein Obama! No way, no how. I would rather eat dirt. Go forth and read this article and tell them Sarge sent you.

Bookworm Room » Say it loud, say it proud: I am a racist! *UPDATED*

And the Winner is . . .

15 June 2008

You have got to love this guy.  While I hoped that Senator Thompson would have stayed in the race until at least Super Tuesday, he didn’t and I still think he was given bad advice, but that is a rant for another day, if ever.  The good Senator has joined the staff at Townhall.com and here is a recent posting.  Follow the link for the complete article, bu the paragraph below caught my eye.

Townhall.com::A Supreme Error::By Fred Thompson
In reading the majority opinion I am struck by the utter waste that is involved here. No, not the waste of military resources and human life, although such a result is tragically obvious. I refer to the waste of all those years these justices spent in law school studying how adherence to legal precedent is the bedrock of the rule of law, when it turns out, all they really needed was a Pew poll, a subscription to the New York Times, and the latest edition of “How to Make War for Dummies.”

It seems that of the 9 chosen ones, five have forgotten that the “guests” currently overstaying their welcome at the Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay are in fact the enemy and have sworn to convert us to Islam via the sword if necessary.

My unsolicited advice to all field commanders currently engaged in the GWOT, wherever they may be, if you come across armed personnel not wearing the recognizable uniform of a sovereign nation, execute them as spies.

It has been said that the Military is at war and America is at the mall.  Well, after this “decision” by those 9 black robed persons (and in a couple of cases, even that is up for debate), we are now facing the very real possibility of some of the most dangerous men on the face of this earth, being loosed to continue their fight to destroy us and our way of life.  Thanks for nothing SCOTUS.

Smoking Gun?

14 June 2008

While at the grindstone the other day, co-worker and I were discussing what the smoking gun was that would destroy BHO’s campaign.  Here it is.  Head over to Stop The ACLU.

While I have not confirmed this information via another source, I am working on it.

BOHICA

11 June 2008

Drew over at the Barking Moonbat Early Warning System has posted that Representative John Peterson, R-Pa tried to introduce a measure to open up coastal waters BEYOND 50 miles to exploration and drilling.  However, on a 9 to 6 vote ALONG PARTY LINES this measure died in committee.  Friend, you need to contact your Congress Critter NOW, not later, and DEMAND that they co-sponsor this measure and let us get to the oil and gas that is just off our coast.  Why shouldn’t we, the Chinese are ALREADY drilling there, unless you really like paying $4.00 + at the pump for a gallon of go juice.

Go and read and prepare for the Red Curtain of Blood.  Screecher Pelosi and her minions have stuck it to us again.  BOHICA, indeed.

The Smell of a House

9 June 2008

Not too long ago I walked into the Command Post and the aroma that greeted me brought back a flood of over powering memories from years gone by.  On that particular day, the Command Post smelled just like my maternal grandmother’s house.  I only mention this because today, if she were alive, we would be celebrating the occasion of her birth.

While I have never mentioned Granny here before, she was an important part of my upbringing.  She took care of us when Mom was ill and always had a soda or a cup of coffee ready when CINCHOUSE and I hit town for a well deserved and earned visit.  She made CINCHOUSE feel part of the family from the first day she met her.  You could count on a good and hearty meal and if you went hungry, well that was your own fault.

Granny suffered a stroke on Christmas Eve 2004 and never returned home.  She had her good days and her bad days and went home to the Lord last July.

Churchmouse, you are missed.
